This is his 17th show at Coronado Playhouse.
Meghan Burchartz (Maria) Meghan is happy to make her Coronado Playhouse debut. “She has likened the event to that of Dostoevsky’s pardon from the firing squad in Semenovsky Square.” Meghan has lived in the San Diego area since she was three, attended Grossmont College where she began her professional theatrical career, and now attends San Francisco State where she is pursuing her BA in Theatre Arts. She wants to thank her family, friends, and teachers for always being behind her, and the illustrious writer of this bio, who will, for all intensive purposes remain anonymous. This performance is dedicated to Camille Howard-”get this you guys!”
Terence J. Burke (Sir Andrew Aguecheek) -- and in previous summers here: Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Prospero in The Tempest, Laertes in Hamlet and Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing. Thank you for attending; without you there is silence. Did you know that where you sit, as Prospero says, amid “the cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, the great globe itself ... shall dissolve and leave not a rack behind”? With the closing of Twelfth Night, in a fittingly ironic allegory, the playhouse is scheduled to close and be demolished by the City of Coronado. Without you, as Hamlet says, “The rest is silence” for the playhouse. To help, enquire within.
Chris Connolly (Officer) This is Chris’ acting debut at Coronado Playhouse after he took the Shakespeare Acting class this spring at Coronado Playhouse. He recently moved here from Seattle and has developed an interest in acting. During the past four years, Chris worked as a bartender and as a commercial diver off oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.

Kent Gándola (Officer) This is Kent’s first Coronado Playhouse production and he is excited to be a part of this talented company – even if he does have to wear tights. Kent and his wife Renée (Olivia) met at a theater workshop and they have been living happily ever after since then. Kent was last seen in productions of Company B (where he wisely did whatever his director-wife told him to do), The Man Who Came to Dinner, Cinderella, and Ten Little Indians. Kent is grateful to the director, the producer, the cast, and the crew for their tireless and professional efforts. He would also like to thank the audience for their support of live theater. And oh, by the way, if you like the tights, a few whistles at curtain call might help bolster his masculine insecurities.
Maelyn Gándola (Serving Girl) Maelyn is delighted to participate in Coronado Playhouse’sproduction of Twelfth Night. A great fan of Shakespeare’s works she recently has appeared as King Claudius in Hamlet and Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. During the previous two summers Maelyn enthusiastically participated in “The Real Globe” an actors training camp at The Globe Theatres. Maelyn has participated in numerous school productions at both Carmel Valley Middle School and Torrey Pines High School, including: Get Smart, Man Overboard, Heaven Can Wait, and Amadeus. This year she will be graduating two years early and she plans to pursue her theatre interests. She hopes that she has the privilege of contributing to many more performances in the future. Maelyn is continually grateful to the endless support from her family and friends.
Rafe Gándola (Serving Boy) At the age of 11, Rafe started acting when he took part in Shakespeare’s comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Flute at The Old Globe’s “The Real Globe.” Rafe then joined in the Marx Brothers wacky comedy, “Room Service” at Carmel Valley Middle School, where he had the part of the energetic dreamer, Faker Englund. But perhaps Rafe’s greatest pride and joy came from the role of Stage Manager in, Our Town which he did in connection with North Coast Repertory Theater. He thanks all of his friends for all of their support, but most of all, he would like to thank his mom.
Renée Gándola (Olivia) Renee is absolutely thrilled to be making her debut performance at the Coronado Playhouse. She was last seen as the mischievous Mistress Page in the Mira Costa College production of, The Merry Wives of Windsor. No stranger to The Bard, Renee’s first Shakespearean role was in The Actors Academy Showcase as Alice in Henry V – a role that required that she learn to speak French. While in college and through The American Repertory Theater in Europe, Renee has appeared in a variety of productions including The Heiress, Frankie and Johnny, Seascape, and several others. She has delighted children withher performances in children theater productions of Queen of Phoenix and Cinderella. In addition to acting, Renee has also had some diverse experiences as a director, from directing the historical musical Company B to directing first-time performers at several San Diego schools. Renee would like to thank the playhouse cast, crew, director, and her fabulous family and friends for their support.

She is frequently found working in the dressing room or box office, and created some of the women’s headwear for this show. She dedicates this performance to husband Martin, her White Knight in shining armor.
Martin M. White (Malvolio) Really just a mild-mannered RF Electronic Technician, Martin told his wife he was an “Actre” because it was easier to spell on their joint tax return. That lie now follows him around like a dead Danish king. Prodded by spectral harbingers, all disguised as his ego, Mr. White has late appeared on Coronado Playhouse’s stage as Inspector Colquhoun in The Hollow and as Dogberry in last year’s Much Ado About Nothing. While running from people he can see through, he has also landed parts as Claudius in Hamlet, Lazar Wolf in Fiddler On The Roof and Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar. He is saved from the mischevious spirits by his wife, Claire, who shines a light for him where ever they go.
