David A. Ainsworth (Max).
David is always on the go. You may have seen him recently playing the part of
David Larrabee at the Poway Performing Arts Company rendition of Sabrina
Fair or emceeing your company Christmas party. By day he works at IDEC Pharmaceuticals; by night he acts and emcees. He received his training at the University of San Diego, where he was a theatre minor, performing in such plays as Carol Churchill's Mad Forest and Shakespeare's Hamlet. He also studied abroad
for one semester in Oxford, England, where he learned the skill of playwriting.
In addition to his acting credits, including an Aubrey-nominated performance
for the successful How to Succeed
at
SRT (with fellow performer Dave Rivas), he has written a full length play in
verse, titled The Republic, and a
short one-act called The Home Office. David would like to thank his family and friends for their continuing support, especially his wife Marlene. "Bisous." |

Christina Christianson (Maria) is a recent college graduate with a degree in
Communication from UC San Diego. She has most recently performed as Doris in
Coronado's latest production of The Hollow. Christina, relatively
new to the San Diego area, has a theater and music background that began in the
Bay Area. Her favorite roles include Chloe in Arcadia, Mrs. Hale in Trifles, Sybil in Separate Tables, roles in the Sonoma Shakespeare Festival's The
Taming Of The Shrew, and the wild musical Hair. Christina is excited about further pursuing theater
and music in the San Diego region. |

Jeanne Danis (Julia)
Jeanne's first appearance at the Coronado Playhouse was in the 1958 production
of Private Lives in which she played the amorous and amoral
Amanda Prynne. Since then she has appeared in dozens of roles at the Playhouse
as well as the OnStage Playhouse, Old Globe, Lamplighters and North Coast
Repertory. A journalism graduate of Northwestern University, she also writes
for local newspapers. This will probably be her final appearance at the
venerable Playhouse as the city plans to level the building shortly to make way
for a community center which will house a small theatre. |

Jeff Laurence (Saunders) is making his very first appearance at the Coronado Playhouse. His
interest in the theater began after seeing a performance of The Fantasticks
at Coronado several years ago. He has wanted to do a show here ever since and
is delighted to finally get that chance. He has appeared in Neil Simon's Proposals and Rumors earlier this year and recently was George in Same Time
Another Year and Barney in Last
of the Red Hot Lovers at Scripps Ranch. Other
shows include Blithe Spirit, Beau
Jest, Solid Gold Cadillac, Play On
and his favorite play of all time, Noises Off. His Musicals include a run at the Hahn in O.J.,
The Musical and the San Diego Comic Operas
rendition of The Chocolate Soldier.
He also won an Aubrey as Henry in the Fantastics. |

Jennifer Campbell Matlock (Diana) is a San Diego Native proudly making her first appearance at the
Coronado Playhouse. Jennifer has received her certificate in Dramatic Arts at
Mesa college where she appeared in many productions, most notably as Helena, in
William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by
Russell St. Claire. Jennifer looks forward to transferring to SDSU to continue
the study of theatre, while pursuing work for film, voice overs, and television
in Los Angeles. She would also like to thank her loving husband Thomas for all
of his understanding and support. |

Kevin J. McCloskey (Bellhop) is excited to be on the Coronado Playhouse stage for the first time. Other stage credits include the role of Perchik in Christian Community Theater's Fiddler on the Roof and Steve Edwards in City College's production of Babes in Arms. Kevin came to San Diego 14 years ago to attend UCSD, where he graduated with a degree in Visual Arts. There he met his wife Christine, and they'll be celebrating their tenth anniversary this June. They live with their two adorable daughters in the City Heights community where Kevin directs 'Hope in the City', a non-profit, faith-based organization. |

Dave Rivas (Tito Merelli). This is Dave's second time
performing at the Coronado Playhouse. You may remember seeing him as Billy
Warren in California Suite during CPH's 2001 season. Dave recently played
another Italian man. He was Martini
in PowPAC's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Before that, Dave won an Aubrey award for the four
roles he played in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying at Scripps Ranch Theater. Chances are you've heard
Dave's voice before. He has lent his voice to numerous TV & radio
commercials, messages on hold, video games & cartoons. He's won two Omni
International Media awards for his work in voice-overs. Dave has also performed
stand up and improv comedy. Dave (and Tito) would like to say "Grazie to you all for-a' coming" and hopes you enjoy tonight's- a' performance. |

Maria Santilena (Maggie) is a new addition to the Coronado Playhouse. A Southern Californian
native, Maria attended San Diego State University where she majored in Theatre
and Spanish. During her studies she spent a year abroad in Madrid, Spain, where
she also studied at La Escuela Superior de Artes Dramaticas. Since graduating,
she has worked with various groups in San Diego such as the Hispanic Theatre of
San Diego and The Fallbrook Players. Some of her theatre credits consist of Bloodhounds
(Starling), Baby Blues (Summer), Trifles (Mrs. Peters), Much Ado About Nothing (Hero), Tres Sombreros de Copa (Fanny), Skriker (Woman w/ Kelpie), Konfusion Americana (Viuda, Safo). Special thanks to Spanky for all the
love and support. |
