
Chuck Lockwood (Musical Director) Chuck is returning to Coronado Playhouse after last year’s success of The Fantasticks. Chuck has helped orchestrate the original musical The Servant’s Ring, which won the East County 1999 Best Musical of the Year award. He has been seen in productions of Love Rides the Rails, Broadway Backstage, Pets! The Musical, Pirates of Pinzantes, and produced and music directed the 25th Anniversary of The Rocky Horror Show. He also writes, directs and co-produces the annual Christmas production of MCC San Diego and is the choir director for the well-known MCC San Diego Celebration Choir.
As an avid supporter of the Gay & Lesbian Community, Chuck joined the group Hope in Harmony, a 40-voice chorus and 30-piece orchestra dedicated to raising funds for HIV/AIDS awareness. He served as the assistant conductor for two years until the passing of the group’s founder, and then served as the principle conductor for eight more years.
