Kirk Valles (Musical Director) Kirk is a music teacher, a musician and a musical director. He has worked for the Coronado School of the Arts in both musical theatre and vocal instruction. In addition, he has worked for a local church as their director of music. Kirk currently works for the Hawthorne Elementary Seminar program as their choir director, teaches private voice and piano lessons and is director of music for a church in downtown San Diego. Side By Side By Sondheim marks Kirk’s 48th. show as a musical director. Other shows include Closer Than Ever, Songs for a New World, Evita, Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors, The Fantasticks, Working, Grease, The Wiz, A My Name is Alice and many others. Kirk is very pleased to be returning to the Coronado Playhouse as musical director.
