Libbey Lazarus (Hair and Makeup Artist, Publicity) Libbey comes from a long line of artists. She hails from the art community of Ojai, California. She is related to the late Leon Baskt who was an 20th century costume designer for the Russian Ballet. Her sibling -like relationship with writer/director Matt Thompson started in a theater class taught by Dr. Peter Larlham at SDSU.

Libbey is an accomplished makeup artist. Last winter she was the lead makeup artist for 10-4 San Diego, a pilot for ABC featuring Lee Ann Kim and Melanie Wingo. Her work can also be see in the March 2007 issue of Pacific Beach Magazine. Libbey can be seen monthly on KUSI with Rod Luck in a military wife makeover in conjunction with Collections Salon & Day Spa where she works as an aesthetician. Libbey spends the majority of her time making her clients feel beautiful on the inside and out at the award winning spa. www.collections-salon-spa.com.

Some of her favorite performing theater credits include: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at Santa Paula Theater Center (winner of Ventura County Reporter’s REP award for excellence in Ensemble Production) and To Kill a Mockingbird at Conejo Players Theatre. Other credits include: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Back Bog Beaste Bate, Brighton Beach Memoirs, and Marmalade M (written/directed by Matt Thompson).

Libbey received the Sybil Eliza Jones Scholarship at SDSU where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Drama. She lives at the beach with her favorite black cat Ophelia.
