Mikel Taxer (Professor Chester Marvel/Wizard of Oz) holds a BA in English from UCLA, a BD from San Francisco Theological Seminary, and a D.MIM from McCormick Theological Seminary. He created Vanguard, A Ministry To and Through the Arts at Westminster Presbyterian Church in San Diego, retiring after forty years of service. Favorite roles include Sidney in God’s Favorite, Sakini in Teahouse of the August Moon, Mr. Frank in Diary of Ann Frank, and Elwood in Harvey. Recently, Mikel played Dietrich Bonhoeffer in Awaiting Judgement and Doc Gibbs in a staged reading of Our Town at Cygnet Theatre.
