| Ashley Gardner (Emilie Ducotel) Ms. Gardner has been in and out of local Community Theatre since she moved to San Diego in 1980, including parts at Lamplighters Theatre in La Mesa, Westminster Theatre in Point Loma, The Coronado Playhouse and the most recently, The Muse Theatre. She is proud to have helped build the Pavilion in which the Playhouse has been housed for almost two years and thrilled to be on stage in this unique venue. Ashley is best known for her work in radio and television including four years at NBC as host of their Saturday night entertainment show “Weekend Magazine” and as the “News Gal” with the Jeff and Jer Morning Show. A native of England, she was raised in Canada on the shores of Lake Ontario. Trained and educated in California in radio and television production. Ms. Gardner founded and operates a not-for-profit company, Earth Vision Productions, Inc., which creates documentaries examining social and environmental issues. Much of her work can be seen on County Cable Television and the education channels. A social activist, Ms. Gardner works for girls’ and women’s issues on the San Diego County Commission on the Status of Women as a board member of the Women’s History Museum and Educational Center downtown. On weekends, she can be found in the garden, on the beach with her surfer husband, Peter, or trying to keep up with her 2-year old grandson Max. |
