Rick Chatham (Giles Ralston) Rick is thrilled to be back in his hometown after 15 years of roaming the world. Hot off the heels of two national tours with Missoula Children’s Theatre, staying in the same city for more than a week at a time is a welcome change. He is also currently working in film and TV out of L.A., having appeared recently in shows such as Gilmore Girls, The O.C., and CSI: Las Vegas, and as a principle in commercials for Virgin Mobile, Washington Mutual, and Nokia. Rick recently earned his SAG card for principle work in the upcoming Princess Diaries 2. Regional Credits include Oklahoma! (Village Theater) and the lead role in Tacoma City Ballet’s Nutcracker. He has also choreographed many shows and several original new works. Some credits include: Pirates of Penzance (choreographer and dance lead), Anything Goes (male dance lead), and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Schroeder). Renée Gándola (Mollie Ralston) Renée is delighted to return to the Coronado Playhouse where she last appeared as Olivia in Twelfth Night. She finds performing in the Playhouse’s new pavilion particularly appealing - a return of sorts to the tradition of early traveling acting troupes. Recently, Renée portrayed the Goose in Palomar College’s staging of Charlotte’s Web, and felt flattered when the young audience honked back at her. Locally, while in college, and through The American Repertory Theater in Europe, Renée appeared in The Merry Wives of Windsor, The Heiress, Frankie and Johnny, Seascape, and several others. Although acting is her first love, Renée also enjoyed directing the historical musical Company B, as well as directing first-time performers at several San Diego schools. Renée has a Performance Degree from BYU and a Television Performance Certificate from SD City College. Renée thanks the cast, crew, director, and her fabulous family and friends for their support.

Eric Hensley (Giles Ralston Understudy) Eric graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors Degree in English Literature and a minor in Theatre Arts. Eric owns a local technology recruiting company in town, but when he is not recruiting he is often found quoting obscure and some-not-so-obscure Shakespearean plays. While in San Francisco, Eric has appeared in TV commercials for Bud Lite, and Honda Motorcycles and has utilized his voice talents for medical and tax training software demos as well as performing various voice characters in Compton’s New Media’s Berenstains’ Bears CD-ROM. Eric is delighted to understudy the role of Giles Ralston and pleased to be a part of the Coronado Playhouse Family.

Richard Herring (Major Metcalf) appears at the Coronado Playhouse for the fifth time: Hamlet’s Ghost in Hamlet, Officer O’Hara in Arsenic and Old Lace, the Officer in Rumours, and the Captain in Mr. Roberts for which he won the CPH award for Best Minor Support and was nominated for an Aubrey. He has performed in many other area theatres including Vangard’s Macbeth (Ross), Starlight (1776, Jeckyl and Hyde & Fiddler on the Roof). and mostly recently the San Diego Opera. “All the worlds a stage and all the men and women merely players,” the bard’s immortal words says it best for me. I learned these words and took them to heart at Keith Anderson’s Shakespeare class. This inspired me as an actor and now as a board member for the San Diego Shakespeare Society. Actor turned writer, Richard just completed the book for the musical Danny, in collaboration with Coronado resident George Blum. Watch for more about this exciting new musical set against the backdrop of 1950’s New Orleans coming later this year.

She has performed roughly: 14 musicals on trombone, acted in 5 Shakespearean plays, danced/ performed in over 19 musicals/plays, performed over 250 puppet shows with her family and has also been seen doing choreography, lighting, sound, as well as musical direction. “All the World’s a Stage, and the men and women merely players....” Enjoy the show!

Martin M. White (Mr. Paravicini) Really just a mild-mannered RF Electronic Technician, Martin told his wife he was an “Actre” because it was easier to spell on their joint tax return. That lie now follows him around like a dead Danish king. Prodded by spectral harbingers, all disguised as his ego, Mr. White has late appeared on Coronado Playhouse’s stage as Inspector Colquhoun in The Hollow, as Malvolio in Twelfth Night, & as Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing. While running from people he can see through, he has also landed parts as Claudius in Hamlet, Lazar Wolf in Fiddler On The Roof, the Porter & Doctor in Macbeth, and Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar. He is saved from the mischievous spirits by his wife, Claire, who shines a light for him where ever they go.
