Terence J. Burke (Sergeant Trotter) Terence has appeared as Prospero in The Tempest & Oberon in A Midsummer Nightâs Dream here at the Playhouse, in The Physician in Spite of Himself with Theatre du Poche, Bob Cratchit/Charles Dickens in A Christmas Carol at the Poway Performing Arts Center, in One Acts by Eugene OâNeill with Vantage Theatre, Cancel Christmas at the Childrenâs Museum, & in Mama Carlota & Callas La Divina at the Lyceum Space. He also has performed with San Diego Opera in The Conquistador & The Passion of Jonathan Wade. Television appearances include Pensacola, Silk Stalkings, Night Man, Push, The Tiger Woods Story, A Fatherâs Son, & Cover Me.
Alan Brian Clark (Major Metcalf) is a resident of Coronado who retired last February after 31 years with the telephone company. Alan, a member of AFTRA/SAG, recently acted in the Stu Segal production of Just Act Normal. He has appeared in two Playhouse productions of A Midsummer Nightâs Dream, served as assistant stage manager for I Hate Hamlet, stage manager for Tailor of Gloucester, & was proud to produce the popular, award-winning Mister Roberts last June at the Playhouse. Now on the Board of Directors, Alan is looking forward to the 2000 play season. He hopes that you enjoy The Mousetrap & his interpretation of Major Metcalf.
Deborah Harvill-Ash (Mrs. Boyle) This is Deborahâs debut at the Playhouse. A newcomer to Coronado, she has lived with her Navy husband & two daughters in the varied, exotic locales of Germany, Japan, Washington, D. C., & Rhode Island, & has similar theatrical variety. Non-musicals include: Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Mrs. Armstrong & Assistant Director), All My Sons (Sue Bayless), & voice-overs for the English educational tape Americanisch Aufaenger. Musicals include: She Loves Me (shopper trio), Technicolor Promise, Annie (Miss Hannigan), & solos in several musical reviews & churches. Her proudest theatrical accomplishment to date is writing, directing, & starring in the one-woman one-act Family Stories, which won first place in the Judgesâ Choice category at the 1998 Ford Festival of Plays in Heidelberg.
Lizette Kent (Miss Casewell) This is Lizette's first show with Coronado Playhouse, but she has been performing since the age of 6. She has been seen in many theaters in town: San Diego Rep, Octad-One, Starlight Musical Theater, La Jolla Stage Company, and Lamplighters among others. As an actress, she has performed as Lady Montague in Romeo & Juliet (Octad-One), Lady Abercrombie in The Enchanted Cottage (Starlight Musical Theater), Chris in Suburbia (San Diego State University) and Ceres in The Tempest (The School for the Creative and Performing Arts). As a dancer she has been in Crazy for You, 42nd Street, South Pacific, Damn Yankees, & No No Nanette. As a musician (trombone or recorder) she has played in Cabaret, Gypsy, Kiss Me Kate, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Twelfth Night & Sound of Music among others. She is very happy to be here in beautiful Coronado and she hopes you enjoy the performance!
Carolyn Wheat Koenig (Molly Ralston) Although Carolyn was born in San Diego, she grew up (from age 7) in Northern Virginia. She now resides in Normal Heights. Despite having earned her BA in Historic Preservation with an emphasis on Museum Studies from Mary Washington College, Carolyn recently abandoned her dream of being a museum curator & decided to settle down & join the theatre. Her stage debut was in the Playhouse's previous production of The Mousetrap, in which she played Miss Casewell. Most recently, Carolyn appeared in two staged readings for Octad-One. She wishes to thank her husband, Scott, for his continual love & tremendous support.
Mark La Fossé (Giles Ralston) was born in Whittier, California and has lived in San Diego for the past three years. Mark graduated from California State University, Pomona with a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies & earned a master's degree in education from National University. Mark has studied acting at the university level, from private classes, and at the Pasadena Playhouse. Currently, Mark teaches at a local elementary school while pursuing an acting career. Mark's theatrical experience includes playing the leading roles of Petruchio in Taming of the Shrew; Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream; Renfield in Dracula; Hansel in Hansel and Gretel; as well as the parts of Sir Frederick and Mr. Booker in Nicholas Nickelby; & narrator in San Diego's premiere of Gross Indecency. Mark has also performed in both film (Red Heat, Clifford, & City Slickers) as well as in television making appearances in Legal Justice, The Flash, and The Trials of Rosie O'Neil. In his free time, Mark enjoys traveling using his Spanish skills, as well as playing sports such as swimming, tennis, scuba diving, and inline skating. Look for this talented young actor in upcoming plays and films.
Jeffrey Lippold (Christopher Wren) Jeffrey was last seen at the Playhouse in the comedic role of Stephano in The Tempest. Most recently, he appeared as Dottore in As the Gondola Sinks at the Fault Line Theatre. Other plays include: The Secret Garden, I Never Sang for My Father, & Five Women Wearing the Same Dress. Jeff also has a long list of Shakespearean performances. He received his drama training at Grossmont College & his BA in Rhetoric at SDSU. He is an avid, lifelong martial artist, & would like to thank friends, family, & fellow artists for their support.
Alex Sandie (Mr. Paravicini) has been active in local community theatre over the past several years & is again inspired here in beautiful Coronado. He was Antonio in last yearâs The Tempest & Theseus in A Midsummer Nightâs Dream. Other productions include: Octad Oneâs productions of Hamlet, Merry Wives of Windsor, & The Grass Harp. He also has been seen in Dracula, Somethingâs Afoot, & The Importance of Being Earnest. For Vanguard Productions, he did Death Takes a Holiday, The Visit & The Uninvited, & the upcoming production of Gigi. For C. C. T. & Lawrence Welk Theatre, a favorite role was Mr. Lundie in Brigadoon. Born & educated in Edinburgh, Scotland, he loves his "girrrls." Enjoy . . !
