George Blum (Bassanio) George, who last appeared in Coronado in July 2003 in the final show at the original Playhouse, is glad to be back in town. In the interim, George has appeared in a number of venues and with a number of theater companies, including Poor Players, 6th @ Penn, ChatterBox Theater, Vanguard Productions, Crill Performance Center, Carlsbad Center for the Performing Arts, Patio Playhouse, and at the 2004 and 2005 Actors Alliance Festivals at the Lyceum Theater (the latter appearance earning “Best of the Fest”), and appeared in Algorithms, a short film. George has also appeared over the last few years at La Jolla Stage Company, Poway Performing Arts Center, OnStage Playhouse, Clairemont Community Players, and Murder Mystery Players. Recent plays include End of the World Café, Macbeth, The Music Man, Deathtrap, Moon Over Buffalo, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Much Ado About Nothing, Deadwood Desperadoes, From Bed to Worse, Vesta, Merry Wives of Windsor, Eternal Reach, Sihanoukville Inquiry, Verdict, Christmas Carol, Everybody Loves Opal, Taming of the Shrew, Solid Gold Cadillac, Hamlet, Contract Death, and An Act of Murder.
