Ivan Harrison (Nomie) The Magical Forest holds huge significance to Ivan on three levels. Firstly, when friend, Eric Scot Frydler approached him 2½ years ago, Ivan was enthralled with the music, words and general sentiment of The Magical Forest, so watching it come to life on stage is thrilling. Secondly, Ivan started his acting career as lead singer in a Rock ‘n Roll band in the 1960s in England, and this return to a singing role feels like going full circle! Lastly, Ivan (like Chloe Flower, our heroine) is battling cancer. 18 months ago Ivan had surgery for adenocarcinoma esophageal cancer, an invasive operation to remove half the stomach and half the esophagus. Recovery has been slow and painful, but as we say at The Magical Forest “Never Give Up!” Thanks to the composer, director and producer for their faith in my abilities.
