Chrissy Burns (Veronica Craye), new to Coronado Playhouse, is a 2002 grad of the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (PCPA) Credits include: 42nd Street (Anytime Annie/Peggy Sawyer) My Fair Lady (Trollop/Servant), Peter Pan (Indian/Dance Captain) and The Winters Tale (Mopsa/Time). A tap dancer, choreographer for Hello Dolly! , she acted in and choreographed The Sound of Music at the Fort Salem Theater in New York. San Diego credits include: Women (Jane), Fiddler on the Roof (Daughter) and Traditions of Christmas [CCT]; Boogie Nights [Faultline Theater], Godspell, Dance Fever [Visions Theater]; Hello Dolly! (Dance Captain) [Lamplighters], Our Town (Emily) [ECCP], Working (Waitress/Dance Soloist) [Grossmont College] and many shows for Youth Summerstock Theater. Chrissy, a singer, dancer and model for Gretchen Productions, is also a dance instructor for Dancemania in Spring Valley and a choreographer for theater/show choirs. A newlywed (formerly Chrissy Johnson), she lives in Ocean Beach with her husband Aaron, an A/V Technician at the Sheraton Hotel.
Christina Christianson (Doris) Christina is a recent college graduate with a degree in Communication from UC San Diego. Christina's previous theater involvement began in the Bay Area. She has performed in many plays including Arcadia as Chloe, Separate Tables as Sybil, Trifles as Mrs. Hale, roles in the Sonoma Shakepeare festivals version The Taming Of The Shrew and the musical Hair. This is Christina's first performance at the Coronado playhouse, and she is enthusiastic about perusing more theater opportunities in San Diego.
Marcus Allen Correia (Detective Sergeant Penny), an Imperial Beach resident, retired from the U.S. Naval Air Force in 1992 and became active in theatre, working backstage at the Coronado Playhouse in 1997 for The Tempest. Marcus shared stage-managing duties with his wife Teena for The Uninvited, Rumors, Everybody Loves Opal, and Murder at the Vicarage. He acted in Murder at the Vicarage, M*A*S*H, The Gospel at Colonus, The Taming of the Shrew, Everybody Loves Opal, Much Ado About Nothing, and Biloxi Blues. Marcus costumed the soldiers in Biloxi Blues and did tech on Cinderella.
Angelique Collas (Henrietta), originally from England, is pursuing her acting career after a ten-year hiatus. She trained at the Royal Ballet School for three years, at the Arts Educational School in England in musical theatre for three years, and continued musical theatre training in London for three years at the Barbican. Shakespearean roles include A Midsummer Night's Dream (Helena) and As You Like It (Celia), both performed in the outdoor theatre in Griffith Park in Los Angeles. She has also appeared in various San Diego productions including the Actor's Festival at Sledgehammer Theatre. Currently earning a B.A. in holistic medicine, she plans to integrate the healing arts with performing arts for children.
Jenna Dawsey (Gerda 2/20-23) This is Jenna Dawsey's first performance at the Coronado Playhouse. Jenna loves the theatre; second only to the stage is her passion for singing. She has been in several musicals including Steven Sondheim's Into the Woods in which she played the witch.

She has also recorded two CDs with her college a-cappella group "Shades" and was delighted when a song for which she sang lead vocal was chosen for the national BOCA (Best of College A-cappella) CD. Jenna recently completed four years at Scripps College where she majored in Media Studies and minored in Linguistics. There she learned the art of video production and has shot and edited two documentaries and plans to continue with videography in her spare time. Jenna's other modest accomplishments include: first woman to free-climb Half Dome in Yosemite without the use of ropes or hands, composed three symphonies by the age of seven, taught her dog to recite the Russian alphabet which he performed on the Tonight Show, and the ability to lie unabashedly about incredible achievements.
Ashley Gardner: (Lady Angkatell) Ms. Gardner has been in and out of Community Theatre since she moved to San Diego in 1980, including parts at the LampLighter in La Mesa and Westminster Theatre in Point Loma. She is best known for her work in radio and television including 4 years at NBC as host of their Saturday night entertainment show Weekend Magazine and as the News Nymph with Jeff and Jer on Y95 Radio. A native of England, she was raised in Canada on the shores of Lake Ontario. Trained and educated in California in audio and video production, Ms. Gardner built a successful video, film and multi-media production company, Downtown Productions. A social activist, Ms. Gardner works for women's issues as Chair of the San Diego County Commission on the Status of Women and for environmental causes through her non-profit organization, Earth Visions. On weekends, she can be found in her prolific vegetable garden, on her boat Moor Fun with her husband Peter, or visiting with her daughter, Rachael. Ashley is thrilled to be on stage at the venerable Coronado Playhouse playing "Lady A".
Frank Godinez (Edward), recently seen as Buttons in Cinderella, The British Panto, Frank has also appeared in Bye Bye Birdie and Murder at the Vicarage at Coronado Playhouse. Other recent credits include Romeo and Juliet (Lord Capulet) for the Guerilla Shakespeare Company, 1940's Radio Theater (Dunk, Grunt, Ian, and Announcer) at Lamplighter's for which he received a 2002 Aubrey Award for Best Cast Ensemble in a Musical, Oklahoma (Ali Hakem) for Christian Community Theatre. He is a former Corps de Ballet member of Stage 7 Dance Theater.
Jody E. Hooper (Gerda) Jody is a U.S. Navy physician who was stationed in California after earning her M.D. in 1998 at George Washington University and now practices at the Naval Air Station North Island. She was most recently seen as Hero in the Coronado Playhouse production of Much Ado About Nothing. She has also played Violet in the Torrey Pines production of Man and Superman, Viola in Twelfth Night, Eliza in My Fair Lady and has done an assortment of community theater directing and choreography when not at sea! Next year Jody will be leaving the Navy and beginning her Pathology residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Carolyn Wheat Koenig (Midge) Three years ago, Carolyn made her theatrical debut as Miss Casewell in the Playhouse's production of The Mousetrap. She returned to play Mollie Ralston in the revival of that play, as well as Ophelia in Hamlet, Anya in Verdict, and the title role in Cinderella. Since then, Carolyn has appeared at several other local theaters in productions which include: Dial M for Murder (Margot), Stepping Out (Andy), The Rocky Horror Show (Phantom), and The Taming of the Shrew (Bianca). She has also earned credits in two independent films. Carolyn is delighted to return to the Coronado Playhouse to undertake this charming role. She wishes to thank her husband, Scott, for his continuing love and support.
Jeffrey Lippold (John Cristow) has degrees in theatre and English. Shakespeare credits include: Taming of the Shrew (received an ACT nomination for Best Lead Male in a Comedy and Coronado Playhouse Best Actor 2001 for Petruchio), Hamlet (won ACT Aubrey Award for Best Lead Male in a Drama for Hamlet), Much Ado About Nothing, The Tempest, King Lear, Twelfth Night, As You Like it, Richard II, Henry V, and Romeo & Juliet. Other Coronado Playhouse roles include: Lawrence Redding (Murder at the Vicarage) and Christopher Wren (The Mousetrap-Coronado Playhouse Best Supporting Actor 2000). He also appeared in Alan Ball's (American Beauty and Six Feet Under) Five Women Wearing the Same Dress and The Secret Garden. Jeff, ex-Navy Spec Warfare Commando, is a black belt instructor in the art of amkajutsu. Alex Sandie (Sir Henry Angkatell) has acted in local community theatre over the past several years and is always inspired here in beautiful Coronado. He considers it a privilege to have appeared in Coronado's Shakespeare productions of Taming of the Shrew, Hamlet, The Tempest, and A Midsummer Night's Dream, and he had "grrrreat” fun as Mr. Paravicini in The Mousetrap (twice). Other productions include: for Vantage Theatre, at the Westgate Hotel this past summer, The Importance Of Being Earnest - the musical. Previously he had played Dr. Chausable in the full stage production. Octad-One-Hamlet, Merry Wives of Windsor, and The Grass Harp. He has also been seen in Dracula, Something's Afoot, The Importance of Being Earnest and Solid Gold Cadillac. For Vanguard Productions, he did Death Takes a Holiday, The Visit, The Uninvited and Gigi. For C.C.T. and Lawrence Welk Theatre, a favorite role was Mr. Lundie in Brigadoon. His duties as president and co-founder of the San Diego Shakespeare Society keep him busy. Born and educated in Edinburgh, Scotland, he loves his "girrrls" and his new grandson Darius. Enjoy!
William Savage (Gudgeon) has appeared with 14 San Diego theatre groups. This is his 13th show at Coronado Playhouse. Last seen as the Friar in Much Ado About Nothing, the doctor in Everybody Loves Opal, Gremio in The Taming of the Shrew and Dr. Haydock in Murder at the Vicarage, he appeared as the Gravedigger in Hamlet for which he received an ACT nomination. Other memorable roles include: Inherit the Wind (Drummond), King Lear (Gloucester), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Egeus), The Tempest (Gonzalo) As You Like It (Elder Duke), Death of a Salesman (Charley), Of Mice and Men (Candy) and The Deadly Game (The Judge), In addition to acting, William keeps in touch with the mining industry, substitute teaches and enjoys dancing which includes tap and soft-shoe.
Martin M. White (Inspector Colquhoun) Indigenous to San Diego's Community Theaters, this bird can be found changing his feathers to suit Shakespearean roles as well as clowns, cops, kings and a queen. Musical roles include Lazar Wolf in Fiddler on the Roof, Spettigue in Charley's Aunt and featured singing roles in Camelot. Shakespearean roles include Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing, Claudius in Hamlet, Pistol in Henry V, Clarence in Richard III. His love for theater is surpassed only by his love for his wife.
