Steve Babick (Bernardo/Lucianus/Captain/Sailor/Priest/Lord) was born here in San Diego and graduated from San Diego State University after studying Accounting and English Literature. This is his first appearance at the Coronado Playhouse and he is delighted to be part of the cast. He hopes to participate in future Shakespeare plays at the Playhouse. Steve has played at the Club Cascades in Cabo San Lucas and at Lake Powell. He enjoys tennis, opera, live theatre, and the company of family and friends and wants to thank the members of his Small Church Community for their continued love and support. This performance is dedicated to the memory of my father who passed away earlier this year.

George Blum (Horatio), who last appeared at the Coronado Playhouse in Solid Gold Cadillac, is happy to return as Horatio in Hamlet, and feels honored to work with Keith, Mary, and such a talented and dedicated cast, stage manager, and crew. George, when he's not engaged in his day job, writes screenplays, and currently has a script under option with a producer in Australia. George would like to thank Becky for everything.

Terence J. Burke (Laertes) played Prospero in The Tempest and Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream in the most recent summers of the Coronado Playhouse's Annual Outdoor Free Shakespeare Festival. He was Sergeant Trotter during both runs earlier this year of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap at the Playhouse. He has performed plays by Eugene O'Neill with Vantage Theatre, Moliere with Theatre du Poche, and portrayed Bob Cratchit/Charles Dickens in a musical version of A Christmas Carol at Poway Performing Arts Center. Other recent appearances include the musical plays Mad Queen Carlota at the Lyceum Theatere this spring and Cancel Christmas at the Children's Museum last year. He also performs in industrial films and television productions.

Alan Brian Clark (Major Metcalf) is a resident of Coronado who retired in 1999 after 31 years with the telephone company. Alan, a member of AFTRA/SAG, recently acted in the Stu Segal production of Just Act Normal. He has appeared in two Playhouse productions of A Midsummer Nightâs Dream, served as assistant stage manager for I Hate Hamlet, stage manager for Tailor of Gloucester, & was proud to produce the popular, award-winning Mister Roberts last June at the Playhouse. He also appeared in The Sledgehammerâs production of The Web as the Policeman. One of the Board of Directors at the Playhouse, Alan hopes that you enjoy your experience at the theatre.

Carlie Garrison (Guildenstern/Francisco/Osric) is pleased to be working with the Coronado playhouse again this year, he has recently been seen in A Midsummer Nights Dream, and The Tempest where he received a nomination for best supporting actor for his part of Trinculo. He is attending Southwestern college and majoring in theater arts, and working as a Security guard for Pro-Tect. He would like to thank everyone he has worked with in the past years at the Playhouse for all the memories.

Carolyn Wheat Koenig (Ophelia) Although Carolyn was born in San Diego, she grew up (from age 7) in Northern Virginia. She now resides in Normal Heights. Despite having earned her BA in Historic Preservation with an emphasis on Museum Studies from Mary Washington College, Carolyn recently abandoned her dream of being a museum curator & decided to settle down & join the theatre. Her stage debut was in the Playhouse's previous production of The Mousetrap, in which she played Miss Casewell. & then she played Mollie Ralston in the revival of The Mousetrap. Carolyn appeared recently appeared in two staged readings for Octad-One. She wishes to thank her husband, Scott, for his continual love & tremendous support.

Tom Haine (Claudius) is a long time Point Loma resident who has appeared in several community theatre productions, including, most recently, Lost Horizon and Inherit the Wind. In 1999, Tom appeared as the King of Naples in the Coronado Playhouse's production of The Tempest. Tom has studied acting at the Old Globe and has completed classes in Acting Shakespeare taught by Jonathan McMurtry, Dakin Matthews and Keith Anderson.

Richard Herring (Ghost of Hamlet)appears at the Coronado Playhouse for the third time. His last production here was Mr. Roberts in which he played the captain. Mr. Herring won the blue ribbon award for best minor support and has been nominated for an Aubrey award. He also appeared in Arsenic and Old Lace as Officer O'Hara here at CPH. Mr. Herring is pleased to be doing his first Shakespearean play and is excited to be doing what is considered by many to be the greatest play ever written. Mr. Herring prepared for his role as the Ghost by taking Keith Anderson's production Shakespeare class for actors.

Jeffrey Lippold (Hamlet) BA English-SDSU, AA Theatre Arts-Grossmont College. Jeff has performed in many of Shakespeare's works including The Tempest, King Lear, Twelfth Night, As you Like it, Richard II, Henry V, and Romeo and Juliet to name a few. He has recently appeared at the playhouse as the crazy Christopher Wren in The Mousetrap. Jeff is also a screenplay writer and has a current project in the works due for release in the near future. Also, a lifelong martial artist and ex-Navy SpecWarfare Commando, which spurs his zest for action. Jeff would like to thank the directors Keith and Mary Anderson for their support and introspective nature which is key to the success of their productions. Also much thanks to Karla for the fencing work, as well as Mick O' Leary at the American Colleges of Karate in El Cajon where Jeff frequents regularly. Note: "This performance is dedicated to a great friend, teacher, and mentor, whose life has touched my soul, the late Katherine Faulconer."

Richard OâCasey (Rosencranz/Marcellus/Lord) Born in Limerick, Ireland, Richard is currently writing plays and taking drama classes at Mira Costa College in pursuit of a degree in Dramatic Arts. He is still "pumping iron" and working on playwrighting skills. He has appeared in The Visit, as the Boatswain in The Tempest, & as Thomas Andrews in The Titanic. Thanks Mary and Keith for casting me once again in another great play with fine actors. Glad to be working again with you guys. "Use Your Authority." And thank you Joel and Carlos for being such great human beings. Your friendship and support is priceless. I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life so don't forget to ask me what ãThe Crack" is. I give you a touch of the blarney.

Julie Perkins (Player Queen/messenger) Julie is a private piano, violin, and voice teacher even though she has degrees in Biology and Chemistry. She loves watching young and old learn to love and appreciate all the many aspects of music. She has been involved in theatrical productions, mostly musical, since the age of six. Her roles have included Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and Viola in Twelfth Night for Heritage Theatre in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Other shows she's been involved with are Christmas on the Radio...1943, The Velveteen Rabbit, Neil Simon's Come Blow Your Horn, The Sound of Music, The Fiddler on the Roof, Pippin, and many others. This performance is dedicated to Bonnie Kral for her love and support.

Alex Sandie (Polonius) has acted in local community theatre over the past several years & is always inspired here in beautiful Coronado. He was Antonio in last year's The Tempest & Theseus in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and "grrrreatly enjoyed" the role of Mr. Paravicini in The Mousetrap this year. Other productions include: Octad-One productions of Hamlet, Merry Wives of Windsor, & The Grass Harp. He has also been seen in Dracula, Something's Afoot, The Importance of Being Earnest & Solid Gold Cadillac. For Vanguard Productions, he did Death Takes a Holiday, The Visit, The Uninvited & Gigi. For C.C.T.& Lawrence Welk Theatre, a favorite role was Mr. Lundie in Brigadoon. Born & educated in Edinburgh, Scotland, he loves his "girrrls." Enjoy......!

William Savage (Grave Digger) A retired mining engineer and educator, has appeared with 14 different college and theatre groups throughout San Diego over the past several years. This is his eighth production with the Coronado Playhouse. His last was as Gonzalo in The Tempest. Some memorable roles have been: Inherit the Wind (Drummond), King Lear (Gloucester), A Midsummer Nightâs Dream (Egeus), As You Like It (Elder Duke), Death of a Salesman (Charley), Of Mice and Men (Candy) and The Deadly Game (The Judge). In addition to acting, William keeps in touch with the mining industry, substitute teaches and enjoys dancing which includes tap and softshoe.

Jo Anne Scott (Gertrude) was recently seen as Mrs. Calloway in the musical Angels Among Us. In last yearâs Shakespeare Festival production of The Tempest she portrayed Sebastiana. She has also portrayed Trudy Heyman in Social Security, Felicia in I Hate Hamlet and Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker. For all five roles she received best supporting actress awards. Other favorite roles include Titania & Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Janet Mackenzie in Witness for the Prosecution. In addition to acting she has produced several plays here at the Playhouse. Jo Anne thanks her husband Jim and her entire family for their support.
