Mary OBrien (Director) Mary is very happy to be part of the Coronado Playhouse for the first time. She has been involved in community theater for many years. Her directorial debut was at the age of 10, when she directed the neighborhood kids in a summer variety show held in her familys back yard. She moved to San Diego five years ago and has performed at OnStage Playhouse in Chula Vista in Barefoot in the Park (where she was awarded an Aubrey), Crossing Delancey and Romantic Comedy. Her performing career began in Yorkshire, England, her birthplace, so English Panto is in her blood. From there she toured Germany as a singer with an American rock and roll band. She has lived in the US since 1966, starting out in Long Beach, CA. She has also performed in Pennsylvania, Orange County and Los Angeles. |
 |
Jeanne Danis (Producer) Jeanne says she has been trying for 20 years to persuade the Playhouse Board of Directors to stage an English Pantomime at Christmastime. Finally, after having produced the same angel show for three holiday seasons in a row, the Board decided to hang up their halos and harps, sweep out the feathers and stardust and bring on this wickedly funny version of Cinderella. Some in the audience may miss those singing seraphim, but Jeanne thinks the folks of Merrivale and Castle Glamourous will also brighten your holiday season with comfort and joy.

Teena Correia (Stage Manager-Assistant Director) Just about every production in the past three years at the Playhouse has been mounted with the tender, loving care of this gentle, hard-working lady. Talented beyond belief, she fashioned the dozen exquisite ball masks for this summers staging of Much Ado About Nothing. She contributed greatly to the weird and wonderful set-dressing of Everybody Loves Opal, and provided costume design for the ladies of Biloxi Blues. In addition, she has stage-managed more than seven shows here. For Cinderella, shes corralled everything from a flock of chickens to a team of horses to lagging actors, always with a smile.

Caitlin Grady (pianist) is a Coronado graduate of COSA and a local musician who is currently attending SDSU. |

Annette Hackim (Assistant Stage Manager) Behind the stage at the Playhouse is the usual backstage area. But this leads to a small estate, consisting of a quonset hut divided into two dressing rooms and an annex full of old props, and a large outdoor storage yard for the big stuff, such as flats and refrigerators. This has been Annettes work-area for the past couple of years. She oversees the spaces, keeps track of the actors, makes sure props are pre-set onstage or available nearby on the prop table. As chatelaine of this domain, Annette has no equal.

Cornell Ellison (Choreographer) Cornells bio was going to consist of dreary things like her favorite roles were Sister Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls and the Mock Turtle in Alice in Wonderland. She was thinking of including every theater adventure since she found that spotlight center stage, every technical aspect from building costumes to searching out unusual props to hammering screws into flats. But, instead, Cornell would like to use her space to thank Mary OBrien for this chance to choreograph such a fun production.

Julie Perkins Kral (Musical Director) Julie has more than one production going on these days. Not only is she tuning up the citizens of Merrivale, but shes also finishing up her Masters thesis in Education and expecting her fi rst child Feb. 1. With degrees in Biology and Chemistry, Julie has been a Math and Science high school teacher in Michigan, but shes also been musical director for a variety of shows from Velveteen Rabbit to Fiddler on the Roof. |

Marcus Allen Correia (tech running crew/set construction), an Imperial Beach resident, retired from the U.S. Naval Air Force in 1992 and became active in theatre, working backstage at the Coronado Playhouse in 1997 for The Tempest. Marcus shared stage-managing duties with his wife Teena for The Uninvited, Rumors, Everybody Loves Opal, Murder at the Vicarage, & Much Ado About Nothing. He made his acting debut in Murder at the Vicarage and since then has performed in M*A*S*H , The Gospel at Colonus, The Taming of the Shrew, Everybody Loves Opal, & Much Ado About Nothing.
