It’s a special evening of music, dance and shenanigans at the Coronado Playhouse’s Holiday production of "Cinderella." It’s NOT Disney’s Cinderella although there is a Prince Charming, a Wicked Stepmother and two ugly sisters. This is the English Music Hall Version of the tale (think "Benny Hill" without the nudity. After all, there are adorable kids in the show.) Picture the stepsisters played by two "not-too-pretty" guys and Prince Charming played by a tall, dark and handsome gal! Silly jokes, musical parodies, cross-dressing, dancing and hi-jinx all make for a colorful, hilarious fairy tale you’ve not seen the likes of before. These musicals have traditionally been delighting children and adults alike in England for decades. Now, experience the new, the ridiculous and the sublime world of British "Panto" theatre in the Coronado Playhouse production of "Cinderella." You’ll be talking about it for days to come.

Coronado Playhouse President, 1986-1988
- As president of our community theater, this gracious and courageous lady stayed the course, defending the Playhouse at a time of unprecedented disquiet and contentious litigation which lasted over a period of four years. She eventually achieved total vindication for the Playhouse with a ruling by the Fourth District Court of Appeals in August, 1990. Connie passed away Sept. 15 in Coronado, leaving behind a legacy of fairness, civility and perseverance. And she would have loved Cinderella!
