Bob Christiansen (Director, Set Designer). This is Bob’s third association with Coronado Playhouse, having appeared on stage in Catch Me If You Can and Solid Gold Cadillac. He has directed two other Neil Simon plays in San Diego, Odd Couple (Female Version) at Clairemont Community Players and Barefoot In The Park at OnStage Playhouse. Bob has acted, produced, served on the Board, and cleaned toilets for several theaters in San Diego and Ventura Counties. He first appeared on a community theater stage at age 12, which means he has been involved in community theater for, uh … a lot of years.
Teena Correia (Assistant Director, Stage Manager) is an Imperial Beach resident who started working backstage at the Coronado Playhouse in 1999 on The Tempest. She also provided technical support for Angels Among Us and Taming of the Shrew, and served as Stage Manager for The Uninvited, Rumors, Murder at the Vicarage, California Suite, Everybody Loves Opal, and Much Ado About Nothing. This dedicated and talented lady also designed and constructed the masks in the Playhouse’s recent Much Ado About Nothing.
Bill Mendel (Producer) Bill Mendel comes to us from Hollywood, CA, where he spent 5 years as a casting director for independent films. He enjoyed working with many stars and agents and learned a lot about film production. Bill moved to San Diego 2 years ago to “escape the insanity” of the movie business. Bill is currently running a wine distribution business here in San Diego. He’s very excited about his first producing venture, especially since he feels this is an outstanding cast, worthy of working on Broadway and in movies.
