43rd Annual ACT SD Aubrey Award Ceremony What: The Aubrey Award’s theme is CELEBRATE COMMUNITY: GET INTO ACT! When: Sunday, July 27, 2008. A no-host bar social hour will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner at 6 p.m., with the Awards Celebration immediately following. Details: The cost is $33.00 per person. Tickets purchased by June 21 will be offered at a discount price of $30.00. There is no discount on tickets purchased after the nominations have been announced. The annual nomination potluck dinner will be held at PowPAC at 6 PM on Sunday, June 22. Everyone involved with local community theatre is welcome and encouraged to attend. The CPH shows that will be considered for awards include: Inherit the Wind, As You Like It, Side by Side by Sondheim, Sweet Charity, Agatha Christie’s Black Coffee, and Blithe Spirit. All shows after June 1 will be judged in the 2009 ACT season. No tickets will be sold after July 20. Tickets will not be available at the door. All attendees must buy the event ticket. PAYMENT: You can pay by check made out to ACT San Diego. The tickets and name tag list are in the CPH box office. You can either buy in person when the box office is open, or you can send your check or money order with a stamped, self-addressed envelope (legal size) to: Coronado Playhouse We will accept credit card or paypal but need to service charge of 4% if you choose this option. Check or money order is best.
Program Ads: Program Ads for $50 for a full page and ACT Angel congratulations (one-line for $10 are also available. Email playhouse1845@sbcglobal before July 1 if you want to become an ACT Angel or want to buy a program ad. For the ad, you need to provide copyready ad. ACT SD SCHOLARSHIP $250 - $500 All Scholarship applications must be postmarked no later than July 1, 2008. Scholarship winners will be announced at the ACT Aubrey Awards July 27, 2008 PURPOSE The ACT Scholarship was established in 1975 to promote and encourage higher education in the field of theatre arts. REQUIREMENTS Applicants must be currently enrolled in or have been accepted to an institution of higher learning, and have a declared emphasis in the performing arts or theatre.
