madness, ghosts, political intrigue, love, hate & dueling!

Victoria Mature (Fight Choreographer) is pleased to be making her first behind the scenes appearance with the Coronado Playhouse. Previous Playhouse appearances include: “Rosalind” in As You Like It, “Elvira” in Blithe Spirit, and “Katharina” in The Taming of the Shrew. Victoria studies fencing and theatrical swordplay with Fencing Master Edwin “Buzz” Hurst at Cabrillo Academy of the Sword. She also worked with L.A. based fight choreographer Tim Weske whilst reprising her role as “Rosalind” for Pete Shaner’s independent feature: As You Like It. Victoria holds a B.A. in Music and Vocal Performance from UCSD, and, locally, has sung with the San Diego Opera Chorus, and won the La Jolly Symphony Competition and the Metropolitan Opera Auditions.In Italy, she performed with Arena di Verona and Teatro la Fenice and sang in a myriad of concerts.
Recently, Victoria was invited to play “Titania” and “Hippolyta” in the San Diego Chamber Orchestra’s (now Orchestra Nova) production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream featuring Mendelssohn’s score, Shakespeare’s text, and the gothic ambiance of St. Paul’s Cathedral. Victoria work with the San Diego Shakespeare Society’s Outreach Program has brought quality Shakespeare to local schools, senior centers, and the Braille Institute. Victoria would like to thank Keith and Mary Anderson, Hamlet, and Laertes for this exciting andchallenging opportunity.
