Martin White (Claudius) has appeared this year at Coronado Playhouse as Uncle Henry/Gate Guard in Wizard of Oz (Aubrey Award) and as Sir Rowland in Spider’s Web and now thinks himself blessed with the role of Claudius the King. The Charlain’s Company, Poor Players Vangard Theater and Coronado Playhouse have all allowed him appear in Shakespearean plays. But, in over a dozen productions, nothing has been as satisfying as the opportunity to play “the bloat king” in this, the most thoughtful and inspiring of all Shakespeare’s plays. “Here, stooping to your clemency, I beg your hearing, patiently.”
