This is a new musical by Eric Scot Frydler and it isn't quite like anything you've ever seen before. Imagine "Field of Dreams" and "The Twilight Zone" set to beautiful music with an inspiring story. Is the "Magical Forest" a forest? Or is it heaven? Or somewhere. Come see "The Magical Forest" and bring your children and your grandparents because this musical is for everyone that has ever wondered about the mystery of life. It will touch your heart and make your spirit soar!
Open Auditions Sunday, August 3, noon to 3 PM.
Many roles are cast but Director Jessica Seaman is still seeking male singers (primarily tenors and baritones), and female singers (primarily sopranos). Please prepare 2 contrasting audition songs. Monologue optional.

Mother Nature, the Spirit of Nature - Soprano, jazz/blues experience a plus - Age 20-50 - Major Support
Marsha, Queen of the Marsh - Soprano, operatic experience a plus - Age 20-50 - Major Support
King Ragwort - Baritone/Tenor - Age 20-50 - Major Support
Termite Rapper - Bass, rapping experience a plus - Age 18-40 - Minor Support
Lookee Loos (4 or 5 roles) - Singing and dancing experience a plus - Age 10-18 - Ensemble
Stinging Nettle Sisters (2 or 3 roles) - Singing experience a plusAge 16-30 - Ensemble
Speaking parts, requiring singing only in the chorus
Lizard - Male role, requiring agility and strength, must be in excellent shapeAny age - Minor Support

Everyone attending should bring a résumé and b/w photo. All those auditioning for a singing role should be prepared to sing a 1-2 minute piece, either a cappella (without accompaniment) or to your own CD. Piano accompanist will be available for call backs. The choreographer will be available to teach routines. Everyone (except those auditioning for an ensemble role) should prepare a 1-2 minute monologue from a comedy or drama. No advance copies of the script are available. These will be closed auditions.
