Bernie Nofel (Albert) Dracula represents a return to the stage for Bernie after a two year hiatus. He is a veteran of San Diego community theater, having played a variety of roles, including: Jack Dalton in Curse You, Jack Dalton; Krojak in Don’t Drink the Water; Tom McKenzie in The Seven Year Itch (Mira Mesa Theater Guild); and, most recently the villainous Brutus Blackheart in the melodrama Charity is her Own Reward (POWPAC). In addition to the late Tor Johnson, Bernie takes inspiration for this role from Lurch, and when the opportunity arose to work with this talented cast, he could only respond, “You rang, Sir?”
